PopZ helps people find businesses and people without a fixed address, such as pasar malam and bazaar stalls, pop-ups, food trucks, salespeople, agents and freelancers, and read and write reviews that come from verified visits. PopZ is run by the PopZ team ("PopZ", "we", "us").
We host what users and vendors post. We don't sell the vendors' goods or services, and we are not part of any deal between you and a vendor.
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- If you are under 18, you may use PopZ only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you.
- To create a page for a business, you must be 18 or older and allowed to act for that business.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't create accounts to get around a limit, a block or a suspension.
You can sign in with an email and password, or with Google, Facebook or Apple. Keep your sign-in details safe: you are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Your name is shown on your reviews. Use a name that isn't offensive or misleading.
You must not:
- post content that is false, misleading, unlawful or against the Review Policy;
- review a vendor you own, work for or have family ties to, or a competitor;
- offer, give or accept money, discounts, free items or any other reward for a review, or for changing or removing one;
- use fake locations, emulators, several accounts or other tricks to get around visit checks or limits;
- copy or collect data from PopZ in bulk, or collect other users' personal data;
- attack, disrupt or reverse-engineer PopZ, or use it to send spam or malware;
- break any law, including the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, the Defamation Act 1957 and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
You can review a vendor only after a verified visit: scanning the vendor's PopZ QR code or NFC tag near where the vendor is open. To confirm visits and detect fraud we check location, time, device and account, as the Privacy Policy explains.
A vendor's rating is not a simple average. Newer reviews and reviews from accounts with a good history count more, and reviews we believe are not genuine may count less or not at all.
When you create a business page or an agent page (as a salesperson, agent or freelancer), you agree to:
- give accurate information about who you are, what you sell, your prices, and where and when you are open;
- make only claims you can back up, for example "halal certified" only with a valid JAKIM or state certificate;
- display your PopZ QR code or NFC tag openly, so every customer can review you, not only the happy ones;
- never review your own page, ask staff, family or friends to review it, or reward anyone for a review;
- never pressure or threaten a reviewer, and answer reviews through public replies and disputes;
- make sure people you add as staff follow these terms. You are responsible for your page and what your staff do on it.
Owners and staff, and the phones they use, are recorded as linked to the page. They can never review it, even after they leave.
The Vendor Terms set out these rules in full. You accept them in the app when you create a page.
Reviews belong to the page they were written about. Vendors can't delete reviews. Deleting a page hides it but doesn't erase it or its reviews: if the same person creates the page again, the old page comes back with its reviews. A salesperson who changes company keeps the same agent page, and past companies are recorded.
This is what makes ratings on PopZ trustworthy for everyone. Newer reviews count more, so improving shows.
You own what you post: reviews, photos, replies and page details. You give PopZ a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, show, adapt (for example resize or translate) and share it, to run and promote PopZ, including on vendor pages and in search results.
For reviews, this licence continues after you delete your account; they are then shown as "Former PopZ user", without your name or picture.
You confirm that you have the right to post what you post and that it doesn't break anyone else's rights. We don't have to publish or keep any content.
We may hold, hide or remove content, disable a vendor's tag, or suspend or close an account or page that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or where the law requires it.
When we remove your review or suspend your account or page, we tell you, and you can appeal once. A suspended account can still sign in, read, change settings and delete itself.
PopZ is free to use. We may later offer paid features for vendors, such as more business pages, promoted listings or notifications to followers. The price and terms will be shown before you pay. Paying never changes a rating or removes a review.
The PopZ app, website, name, logo and design belong to us. You may use PopZ for what it's meant for, but not copy, sell or build on it without our written permission. Vendors may print and display their PopZ QR code and share their page link.
PopZ uses services from other companies, such as Google Maps and sign-in with Google, Facebook or Apple; their own terms apply to them. Links to a vendor's WhatsApp or social media take you outside PopZ, and we are not responsible for them.
- Reviews are users' opinions, not ours. We don't check every review or every vendor claim, such as price, halal status, quality or schedule.
- Any purchase, booking, deposit or deal is between you and the vendor. Take normal care, especially before paying a deposit.
- PopZ is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and correct, but we can't promise it will always work, be free of errors, or show exactly where a vendor is.
- As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss from dealings with vendors or other users. Our total liability to you is limited to RM 100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is higher.
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or any other law that can't be excluded.
You can stop using PopZ at any time and delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete account. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms. The sections on your content, reviews staying with the page, our responsibility and the law continue to apply after that.
We may update these terms as PopZ grows. For important changes we ask you to accept the new version in the app or website before you continue. The date at the top shows the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia decide disputes. Please contact us first: most problems are solved faster that way.
These terms are available in English and Bahasa Melayu. If the two differ, the English version applies.
